Feeding the Flathead
Since I got the car running, I've been using a new piece of 3/8 fuel hose and gas in a glass Ragu jar sitting up on the cowl. I had no idea what was in store for the gas tank and what might be lurking inside. My parents were down this weekend so I had an extra set of hands (and advice) from my Dad. We jacked it up and drained the tank, and dropped it. With the help of a flashlight we were able to see how clean the bottom actually looked. To our surprise there wasn't a ton of gunk built up. We cleaned it out, blew out the hard fuel line with the compressor, and put the tank back on. With only two shots of gas in the carb to prime it we were able to get it running off the new gas in the tank. No more driving with the hood open.

First Post
Thought having a blog would be the easiest way to share all the info on the old car. Keeps from cluttering up everyone's facebook too. I plan on taking time to share a little history too to get everyone caught up with where I am now. More to come soon.
